IC Information

Name: Salamandinay
Age: Unknown, probably like, 17
Canon: Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons
Canon Point: During the final battle in the last episode.
Physical Description: Here's a reference post right in her journal.
Canon Abilities: Those little wings on her back can expand a couple times over, enough to allow her to fly.

She can also turn into a dragon straight up, strong enough to damage a smallish mech, usually requiring numbers to actually down them. She's large enough to comfortably carry a human rider in this form. If she doesn't get naked first she'll totally Hulk her clothes.
Possessions: Aside from the clothes on her back, Sala has three noteworthy possessions:

Her Royal Ring, an heirloom that, along with a certain special song, allows her to operate her mech, Enryugo.

A pretty standard katana, except this is anime so it kicks exceptional amounts of ass. Probably made of future metal anyways.

The aforementioned Enryugo which she was piloting at the time.

Personality: Salamadinay is introduced about halfway into Cross Ange as a sort of rival to Ange, although that quickly becomes an allegiance, and friendship. The first impression Sala can give new people she meets often varies quite widely. Raised as a princess, her knowledge of formal manners and polite discourse is impeccable; when she decides to try to get Ange and Tusk on her side, she is a seemingly perfect host, treating them with kindness and care and plenty of offerings of food and comfort. None of that is a an act, necessarily. Sala is essentially quite a kind person, enough to inspire a great deal of loyalty from her people that goes beyond what could be explained by simple displays of power and prowess, and her ultimate cause she works towards with her actions in canon is saving her people, who she loves dearly, from destruction.

All of that love and kindness, however, cannot cover up a few simple facts about Sala - she's highly competitive, loves a good fight, and is utterly ruthless when she needs to be. In her first appearance, Sala's quick to pull the old 'this looks like a fun fight leave it to me' to her bodyguards when Ange and Vilkiss enter the battle. The resulting match she provides stokes Sala's interest in having what might be a worthy opponent, and when they next meet, this ultimately results in Sala attempting to 'own' Ange, offering competitions in a variety of sports - complete with anime-specific references - for her freedom. Ange's skillful and spirited effort, matching Sala in every event, quickly leads to her growing fond of Ange, apologizing for attempting to effectively enslave her to keep her where she wants her, and that in turn leads to a very strong friendship between the women. For all the people she gets along with, who adores her, and who she cares about, one worthy competitor on the same wavelength quickly and easily becomes her best friend.

It doesn't hurt that they share their ruthlessness, of course. While Sala fights to protect her own people, her enemies receive no such care, and certainly no mercy. The people of Embryo's false earth are weaklings and pawns in her mind, while taking advantage of Aura to keep their dystopian society functional. While she certainly doesn't go out of her way to harm them, and would consider that to be an immoral act of cruelty, she also pays minimal regard to their lives when they get in the way, obliterating part of Arsenal in her first appearance to drastically weaken the fortress island, without worrying about who might die.

Throughout all of her battles and the many near-misses, no matter how close Embryo gets to victory, Sala's confidence only ever briefly wavers - and once she realizes that Ange, someone on the same level as her, is also on her side, she retains utmost confidence in their victory. Sala knows that she's powerful, intelligent, and beautiful, thinks the same of Ange, and if she can implicitly trust someone like Ange, that's at least as good as two Salas - not that she doesn't value Ange as an individual as well.

Aside from all of that, Sala does display a few quirks and interests; she's an incredibly talented engineer, assisting in the creation of the Ryuu-shin-ki mechs that she and her bodyguards pilot, and she was the primary force behind the restoration of a massive sports facility and all of the ruined equipment She's also an extremely talented singer, and enjoys karaoke, although she tends to make a competition of that as well. Sala is curious, and enjoys learning about other ways of life, history, and the technologies they used (in a drama cd she's almost disconcertingly interested in Western toilets). Beyond that, Sala has a fairly cavalier attitude towards nudity and sex - when she walks in on what she believes to be Ange and Tusk having sex, she simply smiles and insists that they continue without worrying about her presence.

History: The wiki isn't total garbage so have at it!

Sample: Will these do?
