►► Application
For the time being, applications will be open permanently.
After reviewing the poll results and reading the comments left on the poll post, we will be allowing CRAUs/Game Transplants! This includes the game The Panic Ship was based off of, as well as any other game.
To make things more organized, please have your top level comment contain only your OOC information, even if you are linking back to your own journal. The second+ comment(s) can be a gif/image/witty text/the app itself.OOC Information

You are free to link to a wikia page, or you can write out their history yourself. The amount you need to write will vary depending on the character, but it should be long enough to give an overview of the character without being bogged down by trivial details.
Prior Game(s): (optional) If your character is coming into The Panic Ship after spending time in a previous game, please explain their stay at their prior game(s) here. We ask that you explain important events and how they affected your character. We also ask that you link three [3] threads from your previous game(s) to back up your explanation. Finally, we ask that you explain why it is preferable to continue their history here instead of starting over as a blank canon character. *If your game is locked or if the person you threaded with deleted their account + comments, contact the mods and we'll work something out!
Sample: Your sample goes here. There are no minimum or maximum word limit restraints. However, bear in mind that your sample should include both a clear presentation of your character's voice as well as showcasing the inner-workings of your character.

Re: Germany | Axis Powers Hetalia | Reserved
Name: Germany
Age: Physically, 20ish, but in reality HE OLD.
Canon: Axis Powers Hetalia
Canon Point: October 3rd, 1990 (Reunification date) + 2 years in another game.
Physical Description: Here!
Canon Abilities: He doesn't really have any 'special' abilities, I don't think. He's good at yelling and I suppose there's other typical country stuff? Good constitution and healing stuff as well as being seemingly ageless.
Possessions: His notebook and a pen. His clothes.
Personality: Stalwart and by the book, Germany is a very serious sort of guy. He has a very commanding and sometimes intimidating demeanor about him, one that makes it hard to tell the difference between a lecture and a regular conversation. While it can be hard to tell at first, he's really just a gruff sort of person; a guy that's prone to yell and make his irritation rather clear if he can't keep it contained any longer (which does tend to happen). Rarely is there ever a smile on his face and it's difficult to catch him at a moment when he's actually relaxed, for those moments seem to be few and far between. There will be more on that later, though, I promise!
He's the type to follow the rules to the letter, the guy that reads the whole manual to take in every single detail. While this does make him rather efficient and almost unwaveringly loyal in many cases, it also makes him weak in the sense that he's obligated to follow orders even when it's something that he doesn't agree with or stick with people that he's not necessarily fond of. It's safe to say that if he makes a promise to someone or comes to some kind of agreement, he's not likely to go back on it. He's definitely a man of his word, even in cases where such a thing would make him suffer himself; it actually sometimes can border a little more on stubbornness than anything else though. Since he is so big on rules, it almost goes without saying that he's rather strict in many aspects.
He doesn't have a high tolerance for mistakes or messes or cowardice (don't even get him started on how irritating whining can be), preferring for things to be neat and tidy. If you make a mess while cooking, he'll be there to clean it up before the mess really sets in. He's the sort to question whether you should really be doing something if all you're going to do is make a mess out of it (or the kitchen). Going along with this, he is very detail oriented and into collecting data; be it about a person or a place (I mean, let's be real, he had a journal devoted to Italy's every day activities). He takes great pride in all that he does, preferring to make sure that his work is done well and avoiding shortcuts.
All of this makes for a seemingly confident person, even though he does lean more toward being pessimistic. His stoic and angry personality does waver at times though, particularly when it comes to talking to women or about relationships. In these instances he becomes rather flustered and embarrassed, making communication particularly difficult. While he can't really talk to grown women and doesn't really make the effort unless it's business related, he seems to have no trouble talking to younger ones and acting as a father figure to them (grade school or younger only). He's also not very good at taking compliments, becoming flustered at those as well (or more speechless, rather).
Underneath all those layers, there is a slightly different personality; though it doesn't really show itself all that often. He likes to cook, particularly sweets, though that is more of a guilty pleasure and not something that he would ever broadcast to others. It's more like a secret hobby, all things considered, and he seems quite happy when he has time like this to himself. It also seems to make him rather content to read and spend time with his pets (dogs, of course). It is also indicated that he likes to makes things with his hands and do delicate work, but it can be problematic sometimes because he feels he's too meticulous and his fingers are too 'fat'. This side is definitely rarely seen, because it's hard for him to trust other people and really 'be himself'.
Since I was hoping to port him over from Holly Heights there hasn't been much development in terms of his base personality but he did manage to open up to a few people more so than he usually would and actually made more friends than just Italy. He's otherwise unchanged aside from having memories from his time in another place and a time that is way beyond what he recalls. I thought space would be awesome now, make things worse.
History: Heta-wiki + Actual History (if you want it)!
Prior Game(s): As mentioned in the personality section, I was hoping to port him over from Holly Heights with his memories intact; if not I totally understand but I figured it was worth a shot. Like I said, his base personality has remained unchanged but he's developed in ways that he wouldn't have if he'd been taken from canon and hadn't had the CR that he did.
The main reason I'm interested in continuing playing him from this timeline is due to his now very late-blooming 'relationship' with Italy; this all developed over 2 years or so, so letting it all go seems like a really sad thing to do.
Most of the relevant threads can be found in his inbox and in his threads with Italy, here are a few examples that show some of the development with both Italy and other characters that he opened up to:
01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07
As you can see, it's been a really long road and I'd like to be able to expand his horizons even more and see if he can connect with more people; even if it's on a temporary level as it was with some of the people that came and went in his previous game. He's opened up more and I'd like to be able to continue that! Plus he's got some really weird memories, but he treasures all of them.
Sample: Reusing one from an old app, if that's okay; if that's not okay just let me know and I'll be happy to write up a new one:
It had been no small feat to read through all the paperwork provided, but he'd managed it; not just once, but twice. The papers had been stacked nicely on the table, a small notebook sitting beside it with clearly outlined notes. A new home, a new family, a whole new setting...
No matter how many times he read through it all, it didn't really seem to make any more sense and it certainly didn't make him happy. He could have chosen to look at this as a fresh start, but it really was more of an inconvenience than anything. A sigh as he leaned back in his seat, bringing a hand up to pinch at the bridge of his nose. Perhaps it was time to test all of the keys out, sitting here and brooding about it was getting him nothing but a headache.
He stepped out onto the porch, arms behind his back as he truly took in the set up of the neighbourhood and the lawn. Clean and tidy, a fleeting look of approval passed over his face before he stepped down the walkway, arms not moving from behind his back. There still was a lot to take in, but at least the appearance was something that he could get behind. At least so long as they could be maintained, that is.
There was a brief thought of wandering aimlessly through the streets, but even a quick look at things was proof enough that it all seemed to be perhaps too uniform. Although, could there be such a thing? He paused there for a moment, continuing to weigh his options before turning rather abruptly as he voiced his thoughts to the empty yard.
He thought he'd changed his mind but he turned after a moment and began to stroll slowly down toward the sidewalk; deadpan expression as he glanced from yard to yard, unconsciously checking for weeds. So far so goo--
What was that? What was that?? He paused in mid-step, the only movement that of his foot to line up with the other as he stared at someone not that far from him. Someone crossing the road when there was a perfectly good crosswalk not more than 12 feet away from him, it was enough to make him shatter the quiet of the neighbourhood, voice echoing between the houses.
"YOU OVER THERE! YOU CAN'T JUST WALK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD LIKE THAT!"
A pause once he was sure he had his attention, Germany clearing his throat.
"You'll disrupt the flow of traffic and become a danger, use the crosswalk, it's there for a reason!"
It was all for naught, instead of heeding his warning, the man in the street simply stared for a moment; wide-eyed before he took off running in the other direction. All Germany could do was stare, expression blank.
Never mind, that was all that he neede to make up his mind: this place was definitely not as perfect as it seemed.
